Hungarian tokay wine

It was the Hungarian Tokay 'less a wine than a prince of liqueurs' with 'the colour and price of gold' that gave reputation to the
dismembered Empire of Austria-Hungary as a wine country.

Authentic Tokays are very rare today. It is a sweet wine, and perhaps for that reason never much in demand in Western Europe.
